                 In order to work or study in an English-speaking environment, healthcare workers must pass the OET (Occupational English measure), a measure of language competency. It evaluates the linguistic proficiency of medical practitioners whose mother tongue is not English.

You must adhere to the following conditions in order to take the OET:

• You must be a member of the medical community.

• If you're submitting an application for a degree in nursing, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, or veterinary science, you must have a minimum level of English that is equal to IELTS 6 (or equivalent).

• If you're submitting an application for occupational therapy, physical therapy, radiography, dietetics, speech pathology, or podiatry, you must have a minimum English proficiency level of IELTS 7 (or equivalent).

• A valid passport or other form of government-issued identification is required.

• A working phone number and email address are required.

• The registration cost must be paid.
